This module supports high-level triggering. The relay pulls in when a high-level signal is received at the IN terminal. It is ideal for DIY electronics projects, automatic control and intelligent switches, serving as a widely used entry-level control component for electronic enthusiasts and engineers.

Description

1. Input Section

  • VCC: Positive power supply (powered according to the relay voltage)
  • GND: Negative power supply
  • IN Pin: Relay signal trigger pin

Equipped with a power indicator and a relay action indicator:
  • The relay action indicator lights up when the relay is activated (pulled in)
  • The relay action indicator turns off when the relay is deactivated (disconnected)

    Relay Working Principle: When a certain voltage is applied across the coil, a current flows through it, generating an electromagnetic effect. The armature is then attracted to the iron core by the electromagnetic force, overcoming the tension of the return spring, which in turn pulls the movable contact of the armature to engage with the normally open static contact. When the coil is de-energized, the electromagnetic attraction disappears, and the armature returns to its original position under the reaction force of the spring, releasing the movable contact from the normally closed static contact. Through this cycle of engagement and release, the relay achieves the purpose of conducting and interrupting the circuit.
    To distinguish between the "normally open" and "normally closed" contacts of a relay:
    • A normally open contact refers to the static contact that is in an open state when the relay coil is not energized.
    • A normally closed contact refers to the static contact that is in a connected state when the relay coil is not energized.
    Relays typically consist of two circuits: a low-voltage control circuit and a high-voltage working circuit.
     
  • I. Circuit Breaker Switch Output Description

    When the circuit breaker coil is de-energized, the circuit breaker remains open, and the common terminal is connected to the normally closed (NC) terminal.
    When voltage is applied to the coil, the relay pulls in, and the common terminal is connected to the normally open (NO) terminal.

    II. Wiring of Normally Open (NO) Terminal

    When a high or low level is applied to the signal trigger terminal (function can be set as required), the relay will pull in, which is equivalent to closing a switch. At this point, the circuit is connected, and the device operates normally with power passing through.

    III. Wiring of Normally Closed (NC) Terminal

    When a high or low level signal is applied to the signal trigger terminal (function can be set as required), the relay will pull in, which is equivalent to opening a switch. The originally connected circuit is now disconnected, cutting off power and stopping the device from operating.
