The LCD2004A character dot matrix liquid crystal display module features a small size, light weight, low power consumption, and rich display content, and is widely used. It utilizes the property of liquid crystals that they can change the direction of light propagation after being processed, and stimulates the liquid crystal molecules with current to generate dots, lines, and surfaces, which are then combined with the backlight to form the picture. The initial LCD controller used in the LCD2004 module was HD44780, and various LCD manufacturers all provide almost the same 1602 modules or compatible modules, and basically all adopt compatible ICs. Therefore, in terms of characteristics, they are basically the same; of course, many manufacturers provide display modules with different character colors, backlight colors, etc.
