Description

DS1302 Real-Time Clock Module 
DS1302 is a trickle-charging clock chip developed by DALLAS Corporation. It contains a real-time clock/calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM. It communicates with the microcontroller through a simple serial interface. The real-time clock/calendar circuit provides information such as seconds, minutes, hours, day, week, month, and year. The number of days in each month and the number of days in leap years can be automatically adjusted. The clock operation can be determined by the AM/PM indication to adopt 24 or 12-hour format. DS1302 can communicate with the microcontroller simply in a synchronous serial manner, using only three interface lines: (1) RST reset (2) I/O data line (3) SCLK serial clock. The read/write data of the clock/RAM is communicated in a byte or up to 31-byte character group format. When the DS1302 is operating, its power consumption is very low, and the power consumption when maintaining data and clock information is less than 1mW.

Parameters of the DS1302 real-time clock module are as follows: 
The PCB is a single-sided board, with dimensions of 44mm x 23mm x 1.6mm.

3. The backup battery is the genuine Tianqi CR2032, with a voltage of 3V and a capacity of 260mAh. It is not a rechargeable battery. The theoretical data indicates that the battery can maintain its performance for more than 10 years! 
4. Crystal frequency: 32.768 KHz. It is a Japanese original imported crystal, with a matching capacitor of 6 pF. The size is 2*6 mm. 
5. DS1302 is an 8-pin surface-mount domestic high-performance chip. There is an IC socket beneath the chip, which makes it convenient for replacing and removing the chip. 
6. The module operates at voltages of 3.3V or 5V, and can be connected to either 5V or 3.3V microcontrollers. 
7. Working temperature: 0° - 70° 
Connection method (taking the provided program as an example, any IO port can be connected. Just modify the port definition in the program):

Notes:

1. Make sure that VCC and GND are not connected in reverse, as doing so could damage the chip. 
2.51 The P0 port of the microcontroller needs to be connected with an pull-up resistor. If your microcontroller does not have a pull-up resistor, you can connect the data line to another port.
