The OV7670 image sensor is small in size and operates at a low voltage, providing all the functions of a single-chip VGA camera and image processor. Controlled via the SCCB bus, it can output various resolution 8-bit image data in full frame, sub-sampling, and windowing modes. The product can achieve a maximum VGA image rate of 30 frames per second. Users have full control over image quality, data format, and transmission method. All image processing functions, including gamma correction, white balance, saturation, and chroma, can be programmed through the SCCB interface. OmmiVision's image sensor uses unique sensor technology to improve image quality by reducing or eliminating optical or electronic defects such as fixed pattern noise, blooming, and smearing, resulting in clear and stable color images.
