2. Product Introduction

  1. Adopts the TCRT5000 infrared reflective sensor.
  2. Suitable for detection reflection distances ranging from 1mm to 25mm.
  3. Comparator output ensures clean signals, good waveform quality, and strong driving capability (exceeding 15mA).
  4. Equipped with a potentiometer to adjust sensitivity.
  5. Operating voltage: 3.3V–5V.
  6. Output form: Digital switch output (0 and 1).
  7. Features fixed bolt holes for easy installation.
  8. Small PCB dimensions: 3.2cm × 1.4cm.
  9. Uses the wide-voltage LM393 comparator.

3. Function Introduction

The infrared emitting diode of the TCRT5000 sensor continuously emits infrared light. When the emitted infrared light is not reflected back or the reflected intensity is insufficient, the infrared receiving diode remains in an off state. At this time, the module's output terminal is at a high level, and the indicator LED remains off. When the object to be detected enters the detection range, the infrared light is reflected back with sufficient intensity, saturating the infrared receiving diode. Consequently, the module's output terminal switches to a low level, and the indicator LED lights up.

4. Wiring Method

  1. VCC: Connect to the positive power supply terminal (3–5V).
  2. GND: Connect to the negative power supply terminal.
  3. DO: TTL switch signal output.
  4. AO: Analog signal output (output voltage varies with distance; this pin is generally not required for connection).
